The Blockstory Bicycle U-Lock 15mm is a high-security bicycle lock providing Sold Secure Gold rated protection — the highest certification for bicycle locks independently tested by security authorities in the UK. The 15mm hardened steel shackle is manufactured from a boron-chromium alloy that resists cutting, sawing, and leverage attacks that defeat 12mm and 13mm shackles common on lower-rated U-locks. The double-locking crossbar mechanism locks both ends of the shackle inside the barrel simultaneously, eliminating the single-point shackle attack that defeat single-lock U-locks with one cut. The cylinder uses a 5-pin tumbler with Blockstory’s anti-pick pins — serrated driver pins that resist raking and single-pin picking techniques. The molded rubber coating on the shackle and crossbar protects bicycle frames and components from scratching during locking.
