Blockstory Window Lock Sash

The Blockstory Window Lock Sash is a key-operated security device that restricts double-hung sash windows from being opened from the outside, providing an additional security layer beyond the standard latch that most residential sash windows use. Standard sash window latches provide no resistance to a screwdriver or knife blade inserted through the window gap — the Blockstory Sash Lock engages a locking bolt that requires a key to retract, preventing the window from being raised even if the latch is defeated. The lock mounts to the inner sash rail with two screws included and can be installed without drilling using the supplied adhesive pad option for rented properties where drilling is restricted. A locked-open ventilation position allows the window to be held partially open for ventilation while remaining locked against further opening — useful in ground floor rooms where ventilation is required without compromising security.
